The Convocation Celebration for the Class of 2015 from Nanyang Technopreneurship Center’s (NTC) Masters of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation programme on July 28rd 2015 was certainly a highlight for its graduates and current students. It was a day full of elation and pride when 37 students of the English programme and 49 students of Chinese programme graduated from a year of gratifying education and heartfelt camaraderie.
During this event, NTC was honored to welcome distinguished guests, including those from the China, Philippines and Saudi Arabian Embassy, supporters, instructors and collaborators, along with families and friends of the new graduates. Joining in the festivities were also completers of the Minor in Entrepreneurship programme (MiE) and participants of the Summer school programme (EDP). In total, about 400 people attended the event.
Professor Hooi Den Huan, Director of NTC, shared his wise words to the graduates to keep working hard and to strive in making a positive change in the world. Professor Hooi’s message was followed by a bilingual congratulatory message by Dr. Xia Zhiqiang, the MSc TIP Programme Director.
Eight graduates were presented the Director List award because of their outstanding academic performance, exemplary conduct, strong leadership and entrepreneurship spirit. They are as follows:
Chinese Class: Wang Yuanyuan, Hong Jianwei, Li Qiang, Xu Zhengqi
English Class: Alessandra Fesillia Aldy, Nisha Anilkumar Nair, Chen Chiu-Hao, Steffi Halim.
As part of the programme tradition, the new batch of students for the MSc TIP programme also put up vibrant and lively performances as a mark of respect towards their seniors’ achievements.
During the celebration, graduates had the chance to review their one year journey with professors and friends with whom they have created many beautiful memories. All have changed since their first day at NTU, and we are sure the friendships forged would lead to a greater international network when they step out to the world to embark on their new journey.
They have made great efforts and it is time to toast to their success.
It was wonderful for us to see our students graduate from the Masters programme - we wish them all the best for their future endeavours, and hope they will continue to contribute their innovative ideas to the world stage.
