The Graduate Certificate in Technopreneurship and Innovation equips participants with essential entrepreneurial skills and business acumen to turn novel ideas into successful ventures. This MiniMastersâ„¢ offers a springboard for participants with entrepreneurial intentions to work with leading educators, researchers, inventors and business leaders around the world.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants can choose to continue with the MiniMasters in Technopreneurship and Innovation programme and/or directly continue in their entrepreneurship education with Master of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation degree. They will be able to transfer earned credits towards the Master of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation degree.

  • Gain an understanding of entrepreneurship and how to apply the entrepreneurial way of thinking
  • Acquire insights on how marketing principles can be applied in new ventures and entrepreneurial business situations
  • Identify how to value new venture as well as to structure financing as the new venture progresses
  • Develop plans for ventures to grow by leveraging current capabilities of the venture and to develop new ones
  • Obtain technology exposure and learn how to bring viable technologies to the marketplace

  1. The Graduate Certificate in Technopreneurship and Innovation comprises five advanced courses totaling 10 AUs
    1. Five 2-AU courses.
  2. Each course is delivered via online instruction, taught over:
    1. Four Weekdays evenings and Two Saturdays (for 2-AU course), or
    2. Four Saturdays (for 2-AU course).
  3. Course assessment
    1. Assessments will be conducted during the session and participants will be graded based on their performance in the assessment.
  4. Qualification
    1. Participants who completed 10AUs of coursework and obtained a CGPA ≥ 2.5 will receive Graduate Certificate in Technopreneurship and Innovation.

Subject to meeting the entry requirements of the Master's degree, participants who aspire to further their studies may enroll into Master of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation. Upon successful admission into the Master's degree programme, participants can transfer up to 10 AUs of the credits earned from the Graduate Certificate to fulfill part of the Master's degree requirements.

Accreditation of courses completed under the NTC Graduate Certificate to a full NTC Master's programme will be subject to the current accreditation policy:

  • The grade obtained for each course must be at least grade C+ and above;
  • The validity period of a course is 5 years from the enrolment date;
  • The course must not have been used for exemption/credit transfer into another programme.

The Master of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation consists of Core Modules, Electives, and Experiential Components. By progressing onto the Master's degree programme, the additional modules will further nurture participants to be leaders in the entrepreneurship ecosystem through academic knowledge acquisition, entrepreneurial mindset cultivation, and business skillset development.
