"My involvement with NTC has truly made my university experience more valuable. I urge my fellow students to take the modules offered by them, attend their events and take the first step to finding your passion!"
University is the place where students get the opportunity to explore themselves and find their passion and I believe that the Nanyang Technopreneurship Center provides one of the best platforms for students in NTU to find their passion as it urges one to step out of their comfort zone.
Personally, I believe the Minor in Entrepreneurship was one of the most useful courses in university. It was an eye-opening experience- as it taught me the fundamentals of business, business plan creation, lateral thinking - and in the process pick up soft skills like communication & leadership. The Minor does not only teach you in theory but also makes you create your own enterprise as part of Module 5. This was extremely valuable as we met investors, convinced people to believe in our vision & got our first customers- all under the watchful guidance of the NTC mentors.
The people I was exposed to during the Minor in Entrepreneurship shaped my thinking - and contributed to shaping the vision of Project Green Entrepreneurship - an initiative by AIESEC to allow youth to connect with entrepreneurs in Singapore. Once again, I was overwhelmed by the support the Nanyang Technopreneurship Center who supported us in organizing the Green Entrepreneurship Symposium II (2011) & the Singapore Entrepreneurship Challenge (2012) thus allowing us to create the impact we wanted to achieve. My involvement with the Nanyang Technopreneurship Center has shaped my thoughts and truly made my university experience more valuable. I urge my fellow students to get involved with NTC- take the modules offered by them, attend their events and take the first step to finding your passion!
