Through a collaboration between Singapore's Economic Development board and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the Nanyang Technopreneurship Center (NTC) was established in 2001 with the vision to become a leading center of excellence for technopreneurship education.

Technopreneurship encompasses not only technology organizations but also organizations that embrace technology significantly and it seeks to promote creativity and innovations within organizations and organizations as entities. Various programmes and initiatives which you can find in this website are undertaken to crystallize the vision into reality.

NTC takes much pride in being an important part of NTU, a university which, amongst a list of achievements, is in the Top 30 in the world for Engineering and IT (Times Higher Education) and Top 25 in the world for its MBA programme (Financial Times) a combined feat that brings it amongst the Top 10 in the world. NTC shares the philosophy of the highly respectable Kauffman Foundation and has achieved the rare accolade of being the first and only Kauffman campus outside the United States.

With a dedicated team of human talent, NTC helps to develop Responsible Technopreneurs and Aspiring Philanthropists. We aim to educate not only entrepreneurs, but technopreneurs; not only technopreneurs but Responsible Technopreneurs with aspirations to become future ethical philanthropists. We are grateful that NTU is very much helped by philanthropists, past and present.

Yesterday, today and tomorrow, everyone in NTC, including our current participants and alumni, strives not only just to make a difference but to make a Meaningful Difference to society.

In its quest to achieve its goals, NTC is much aided by the university's strategic plan, the NTU 2015 plan which spells out the university's 5 peaks of excellence in Sustainable Earth; Future Healthcare; New Media; New Silk Road and Innovation Asia. Under Innovation Asia, NTC will contribute to further building a technopreneurial culture.
